Celebrating 16th January as National Startup Day for India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that 16th January 2022 will be celebrated as National Startup Day which will help startup culture in India at the grassroot level.
Since last several days, we are already seeing a huge wave of startups in India, with more than 60000 startups in India, India has produced almost 42 startup unicorns in recent times.
India has third largest startup unicorns in the world after United States (487) and China (301) with 81 unicorns as of January 2022. Unicorns are the companies which have achieved $1 billion of valuation.
The start up wave can also be visible in India via the newly launched TV program on Sony TV - Shark Tank which involves Angel Investors investing money in newly launched startups of India.
This is the first Shark Tank Season in India and has already taken immense TRP already for the prime time slots.
We hope this startup wave remains forever in India which creates employment opportunities for the whole country.
